Jan Preston is a knock-out boogie pianist with a rich resonant voice who has captured audiences around the world with her originality, her energy, and her sparkling charm and gentle wit.

From a background in classical music with a long-term interest in song writing, Jan has created her own style, not only through her piano playing but also her singing and songwriting, which now sees her shine as a truly Antipodean original.

Winner of five music awards, she has sold out concerts throughout Australia, NZ, and Europe, writes music for film and TV, and performs side by side with the greatest contemporary boogie piano players in the world today.

While Carolyn loves to belt out her signature piano boogie woogie style that people simply adore, what sets this band apart is the driving swing from the rhythm section that makes people feel compelled to move and dance! That’s Jim Fletcher on drums and Ed Rapo on bass.

Topped with David Ridyard’s haunting saxophone or clarinet and Greg Englert’s Louis Armstrong reincarnation, this band is up there with the best. The band also includes Cameron Jones’ gypsy jazz swing on guitar!
